Our investors understand the value proposition of managers with a proven performance track record launching first time funds. And while most portfolio managers have the access and expertise necessary to add inexpensive beta to a portfolio, identifying and capturing alpha via private, illiquid investments can be a more challenging endeavor.
Storytelling is at the heart of all our processes. We seek to deliver compelling and inspiring stories to the right investors to yield a successful fundraising campaign. With an emphasis on experienced managers with first time funds (spin-outs), we work closely with our managers to: a) craft a compelling story with a clearly-defined edge, b) properly position the strategy for market, and c) develop thoughtful and clearly-articulated marketing collateral. To do this properly, we spend a great deal of time and energy understanding the opportunity, the timing and the definable differences of the manager. We believe our approach, when applied to the right manager, will yield successful results.
The Acies model is a bit different from other marketers and placement agents found in the industry. Acies is very selective and only represents three or four high quality managers with non-competitive mandates across varying asset classes at any given time. The time and effort to produce a successful fundraising campaign requires an undivided and dedicated focus.
